On 9 May 2024, as part of our careers provision at WHSB, Connexions Southend and Deloitte Management Consultancy were invited to the School to talk to our Year 7 and 8 pupils.

Nick Chard (Connexions Southend) provided an insight into the careers guidance that the School arranges for pupils during their time in the Middle School and Sixth Form. He also offered sound advice as to how pupils can use the School's extra curricular clubs to enhance applications to university and to deepen their interest in related subjects, which could act as a springboard for their choice of future career.

As part of our commitment to the Provider Access Legislation, Deloitte Management Consultancy delivered a presentation focused on its Brightstart Apprenticeship Programme. Stephanie Coundon, Romilly Hill and Florrie Tyler provided a thorough insight into the programme and were delighted by the quality of the questions asked by the pupils.
